ALINe's vision
Our vision is one where aid is more responsive to poor farmers, more inclusive and equitable and ensures the architecture is fit for purpose.
Current incentives in the aid system are sacrificing accountability to beneficiaries in favour of donors. ALINe advocates a people-centred performance measurement that:
- Incorporates farmers’ views in defining priorities and evaluating success
- Ties improved performance measurement with donor accountability
- Has the potential to re-orientate the aid system to demand accountability to end users and donors alike
- Increases the impact from investments
ALINe combines practical experience and technical expertise with cutting-edge insights from academic research. We:
- Offer technical assistance on developing people-centred performance measurement systems
- Conduct and publish research and evaluations on wider agricultural measurement issues.
- Work with innovators in the sector through the Farmer Voice Initiative to learn from their experiences, share good practice and pilot new approaches to farmer feedback
